Step-by-Step Explanation
1. Download the Excel file from Gifted
Download the official Excel template directly from the Gifted platform.
This file already includes the correct headers, required columns, and built-in instructions.
2. Open the downloaded Excel file
Open the Excel sheet on your computer.
The sheet already contains:
The required fields
Helpful notes on what to include
Examples or instructions for each column (depending on the version)
3. Fill in your employee (or recipient) information
The admin enters one line per recipient.
Typical fields include:
Recipient Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Optional FieldsRecipient ID
Gift Amount
Greeting
No formatting changes are needed — just type into the existing structure.
4. Save the completed Excel file
After adding all recipients, save the file on your computer.
Keep it as .xlsx, the same format Gifted provides.
5. Return to Gifted and open your Holiday Template
Go back to the Gifted platform.
Open the Holiday Template you’re working on.
Navigate to the Add from Excel section.
6. Choose “Upload Excel File”
Select the option to upload the completed Excel file.
Click Upload or Browse, then locate and select the file from your computer.

Because the admin used the official downloaded template:
No field mapping is required
No reformatting is needed
Gifted automatically processes the list.
8. Review the uploaded recipients
After upload, the system shows a preview list of all recipients found in the Excel.
If there are errors (missing emails, incorrect country names, etc.), the system flags them so the admin can fix and re-upload.
9. Save and apply the list to the Holiday Template
Once the list looks correct, click Save or Apply.
Your recipients are now fully added to the Holiday Template and ready for scheduling.
