Introducing Roles, and How They Work

Introducing Roles, the easiest way to create specific user permissions for your team and set them up for success.

Managing roles and user permissions in your Gifted account is designed to be simple, flexible, and secure — ensuring that the right people always have the appropriate level of access.

Accessing Role Management

  1. Navigate to the Users tab from your dashboard.

  2. In the top right corner, click Manage Roles.

Here, you can view all existing roles within your organization.

Editing Existing Roles

To modify a role:

  1. Click the Edit button next to any role.

  2. You can:

    • Adjust budget limits

    • Control access to specific templates

    • Fine-tune system permissions

  3. Once you’ve made your changes, click Save.

Creating a New Role

  1. Click Add Role.

  2. Enter a title and optional description.

  3. If desired, copy permissions from an existing role to save time.

  4. Set appropriate permissions for:

    • Budget access

    • Template access

    • System-level access

  5. Click Save to finish.

  6. Don’t forget to assign the new role to relevant users to ensure they have the access they need.

Adding a New User

  1. Return to the Users tab.

  2. Click Add User.

  3. Enter the user’s basic information.

  4. Assign them a role.

  5. Customize individual permissions if necessary.

  6. Click Save to add them to your account.

Updating a User’s Role

  1. In the Users tab, find the user’s name.

  2. Select a new role from the dropdown menu.

  3. Adjust individual permissions as needed.

  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Security Best Practice

For enhanced security, we strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for every user. This extra step helps protect your account and sensitive information.
